Bounty Bay Online is nearing the release of its monster expansion “Beyond the Horizon” that is bringing a new continent, 6 new port cities, and loads of other features to the sea-based MMORPG from Frogster.  This will mark the largest expansion to Bounty Bay Online to date, and will launch Q4 2009.  The new maps will be based on South America and be primarily geared towards higher level players.

Beyond the Horizon expansion also marks the first chance players can circumnavigate the globe via the Cape Horn route.  Players will arrive in San Diego by passing through the ‘Magellan Supply Station’ that is located on the tip of South America. Players that venture further up north will find the Mayan capital of Salinas will be a very important expansion hub. This area is mainly for higher level players and features a high level quest line which leads player groups past dangerous snakes, Maya guardians and other dangerous creatures in a jungle-themed Mayan instance with some valuable treasures.

Following Salinas players reach the scenic Cruz in Middle America as well as San Francisco, the first glamorous and sophisticated city on America’s west coast – each of the new cities feature its own trading port. Not all ports are warm and cozy, snowy Seward and its off-shore icebergs on the Alaskan coast will be ready for exploration as well.

‘Beyond the Horizon’ is going to be published in both English and German languages with a French version to follow shortly thereafter.  Like past expansions, ‘Beyond the Horizon’ will be given to players free of charge.
