For those that follow the Chinese lunar, you may already know that it is the Year of the Ox.   To celebrate this, IGG’s Zu Online will be adding a new quest this month called “Escort the Holy Ox” that allows players to escort an ox to safety in return for in-game rewards.

The holy ox is protected by armor comprised of stone, iron, copper, silver and gold.  Players have to follow it along an pre-programmed route that takes it through a number of dangerous situations.  The route is broken up into 4 passages. EAch time a player brings it safely to the end of a route, it drops some of its armor that the player can pick up.  Each new route becomes more difficult and since the ox gives up armor each time, it becomes less protected at the quest progresses.

At the end of the quest, if you are able to transport it without the ox ending up as a meat bag, it will change into an immortal spirit. Players will be able to receive items like shells, an Insignia of Overlord, or an Insignia of Emperor. Insignia can be used to apply powerful buffs to a character. But of course you have to do this on every route without it getting killed.

The Holy Ox quest will take place during the final 10 days of August. The quest can be obtained in the Desert City.
